The Brief:

Shygone came to me saying he has this idea for a two part album. Both albums will be varied but have a common theme. One will be called Summer In The City, the other ***to be announced***. But whatever I designed for the artwork will have to be similar for both to tie them in. This is what I came up with. I used the colors from the website and they tie in very well with the theme of summer. There are elements of grunge i worked in here to convey some of that urban feel he wanted this to have.

The Brief:

I was asked to show the key areas of a house where water is most likley to freeze. I decided to use an isometric view to help in reference. I ended up creating two scenes, one from street level, the other a close up of the house. I used a psuedo 3D technique utilizing textures onto a two-dimensional illustration. This project was then taken into After Effects where it was animated for TV viewing.

These illustrations I did for meteorologist Mike Nelson's book. All are weather related based on his notes. I did all of the work using Illustrator and a wacom tablet.
