The Brief:

This set was built in under one week along with accompaning materials (i.e. Open, transitions, lower thirds) The 3D set was built to cut down costs and time in building an actual set for 7NEWs A-List segments. A typical set can cost 100's of thousands of dollars to construct and months of works to actually assemble and light. This set took approximatley one week to construct, light, test on green screen, adjust and modify. Essentially saving thousands of dollars thanks to 3D.

The Brief:

I always hated the stock image of the Colorado State Capitol that 7News used on a day to day basis. Before I left I built a 3 scale model of it using photographs and Gooolge Maps as reference.

The Brief:

Inspired by the movie Avatar and humans interstellar travels, prompted me to make a space ship of my own. This one features an impulse drive with a solar array. A comm center, habbitat and storage bays, rotating centers and science labs towards the aft.

The Brief:

About once every year, there is some sort of major accident or incursion in or around DIA. Whethere its a diverted plane, an emergency landing, or a runway inccursion, its bound to happen sooner or later. We decided at 7News to start creating a scale model of the Denver International Airport. The program of choice is Cinema 4D. I started out the project with FAA diagrams of the runways as reference, and every picture of the airport i could find. So far the tedious task is recreating the runway detail. One runway is no problem... but duplicationg it for each individual runway takes time. Will keep you posted.

It started off as a textured box, then I added some more boxes, next thing I know its some sort of weird cloning room with green gowing things.... Its just how it goes. Beware of the box.
